  1. My great uncle Henry Volz owned the grocery store on Eastern Ave. and Harrison Ave. His wife was named Helen. Memories of going to that store for penny candy and ice cream. They later sold the business to Gershbeck. Volz Ave. Is still in Middle River. My roots are deep in Middle River. Born and raised there. It was a small town, and everybody knew everyone. Uncle Henry was my grandmother’s brother. (Maternal)

  2. I have a photo black and white of a area in Middle River that from what I have looked at is a early motel in the woods named Bradys. Does this ring a bell for anyone.
It has hand painted white globes on posts that say Brady’s as well as a storefront with a hammock in front.
